You should already know what these NY staples of hardcore sound like. Kill Your Idols has been around for over 10 years, released 3 full-length albums and numerous splits and EP's filled with fast, angry riffage and some of the most sincere and honest lyrics. Ignoring the trends and always doing what they set out to, KYI have proven themselves to be a true testament to ethics and roots of hardcore and punk music. Sadly, the band has played their final show on Sunday May 13, 2007 in Long Island, NY.
In order to commemorate their contribution to the worldwide hardcore and punk scene,
Get Outta Town Records has released a multi-7" box set including demos, rare tracks, halves of splits and extra goodies limited to a one time pressing. Anything the vinyl collector could ever hope for will be included in this box set completely re-mastered by Charles Chaussinand at Stompbox Studios and with fresh artwork and insight. Lifeline Records has released a CD version of the album for those of you sans record player.

Kill Your Idols - Can't Take My Pride mp3 - Something Started Here box set (from Blackout! Records "Our Own Way: An International Hardcore Compilation")
Kill Your Idols - Fur is for Fucks mp3 - Something Started Here box set (from Submission Records "Joined East Results" split w/ Ensign & Decay)
